At Serenity Spells Grooming, I believe animals have just as much right to comfort as we do. I step away from the standard industry practice of rushing a dog through a high-volume, stressful environment. Instead, my approach is rooted in honesty, safety, and a deep respect for your pet's individuality and comfort.
An Uncrowded Sanctuary My private studio is intentionally designed for peace. With only one bath, one table, and one dog scheduled at a time, your pet receives my unbroken, undivided attention from start to finish.
Individualized Care Every dog is unique, and I adjust my techniques to meet them exactly where they are. I do not rush the process. Instead, I adapt my methods from animal to animal to ensure they feel safe and respected throughout their entire visit.
Comfort Over Vanity I prioritize your pet's physical and emotional well-being above all else. Because of this, I strictly do not perform painful de-matting, and I maintain firm safety boundaries for both the animals and myself. I will always choose what is humane and comfortable for the dog.
Honest Partnership True care requires complete transparency. Following every appointment, I provide a dedicated post-groom counsel. My goal is to educate you on your dog’s specific needs, discuss any potential risks, and share exactly how I mitigated them. You will always know exactly what is going on with your pet and the level of care I put toward their well-being.
The Story Behind the Name
Serenity Spells is currently a solo-groomer home studio, which guarantees your pet gets my undivided, one-on-one attention. I bring over five years of professional grooming experience and more than eight years of working with animals. My passion started at a very young age, I always knew I wanted to spend my life caring for animals, large and small. Grooming became my calling, because it allowed me to blend my love for art with my passion for animals.
Over the years, many wonderful clients have earned special places in my heart. But the dog who left the most profound impact on me was a sweet girl named Serene. Before coming to me, she had been treated roughly by another groomer and developed issues surrounding grooming. We spent years working together, slowly building trust and forging an unbreakable bond before her eventual passing.
Serene inspired me and molded me into the groomer I am today, which is why I knew I had to name this business in her honor. She taught me to celebrate the small successes and to never sweat the small steps backward. She showed me that patience, love, and clear communication are the absolute foundations for trust on the grooming table. While Serene was my greatest challenge and the dog I experienced the most growth with, her legacy lives on in every pet I groom.
Building Lifelong Bonds
This is Axel, 100+ pounds of pure love and an absolute stud in the show ring! He was one of my long-term clients before moving, and we became incredibly close. In fact, his owner would often find himself being dragged into the salon just so Axel could come say hello. Relationships like these are the heart of what I do. I never want grooming to be just a chore for your dog; I want to be their friend and their advocate.
While some dogs may always be a bit nervous about grooming, my goal is to bring as much fun and calm to the process as possible. Axel would come to me for a silhouette trim whenever he had an upcoming show, and like I do with all my dogs, I took my time with him. Moving at a dog's pace is often difficult in a high-volume commercial salon, which is exactly why I opened a business where quality, safety, and comfort come above all else. Taking the time to do things right might not be the industry standard everywhere, but it is deeply valued by pets and their owners, which is exactly who I am doing this for.
Forever Friends
Every dog that steps onto my grooming table leaves a lasting impression, but there are always those few who completely steal my heart. While Serene and Axel were pivotal in shaping the groomer I am today, they are part of a much larger family of incredible pups who have taught me patience, trust, and unconditional love. To the dogs who challenged me, the ones who learned to trust me, and the ones who simply made every workday brighter, thank you. This studio is built on the love I have for all of you.
